Sheriff Scott Keeler reported deputies made eight arrests and took a stealing report during the week of June 24-July 1, 2019.

Warrant Arrests

Chelsea McDaniel- On June 29, Chelsea McDaniel, 22, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance. McDaniel was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on SE Highway PP. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact with Marshall Crockett and Amber William. William stated she noticed McDaniel smoking marijuana on the back porch of the residence and confronted her about it.

A couple of hours later the deputies were dispatched back to the residence in regards to some pills. The deputies asked for and were granted consent to search the residence. During the search a plastic bag with prescription pills were located in McDaniel’s property.

Crystal Carl- On June 28, Crystal Carl, 36, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair County deputy on a class E felony property damage in the first degree. Carl was placed on a 24 hour hold pending formal charges.

The arrest comes after a St. Clair County deputy was dispatched to the laundry mat in Osceola. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with Bobby Allen. Allen stated he showed up to clean the laundry mat and noticed blood on the floor and damage to the interior cameras. The deputy reviewed the camera footage and identified Carl.

Jessica Hutchins- On June 28, Jessica Hutchins, 31, Osceola, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants charging her with probation violations on three class D felonies for possession of a controlled substance. Total bond is $10,000 cash only.

The original charges stem from two different traffic stops by St. Clair County deputies in 2017. During both incidents, prescription pills were located that Hutchins admitted to being hers.

Mike Murray- On June 28, Mike Murray, 35, Springfield, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-prior drug offense. This is a no bond warrant.

The warrant comes after a St. Clair County deputy made contact with a suspicious vehicle parked at the hotel in Osceola in August of 2018. The deputy observed a subject run across Highway 13 and walk around the Park Oil Company building and return back to the vehicle. The deputy pulled up to the vehicle and made contact with the subjects.

The deputy identified Murray as the subject that had gone across Highway 13. The deputy asked if the subjects would empty their pockets. Murray had a syringe in his pocket. The syringe field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Darion White- On June 28, Darion White, 28, Kansas City, was arrested on a St. Clair warrant charging him failure to appear in court on an unclassified misdemeanor driving while suspended/revoked and a class B misdemeanor exceeding the posted speed limit by 26 mph or more. Total bond is set at $580 cash only.

The charges stem from a traffic stop by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in February of 2014.

Cody Strutton- On June 26, Cody Strutton, 22, Unknown, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class A misdemeanor stealing and a class C misdemeanor assault in the fourth degree. Bond is set at $3,500 cash or surety.

The warrant comes after St. Clair County deputies were notified by an employee of Shelby’s Gas Station in Lowry City, that a guy left the station without paying for the merchandise on June 26, 2019. The deputies made contact with Strutton as he was about to fight a store employee. He was taken into custody without incident.

Davis Kelderman- On June 24, David Kelderman, 30, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a class E felony resisting arrest/detention/stop by fleeing-creating a substantial risk of serious injury/death to any person. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

The warrant comes after a St. Clair County deputy observed driver of a sport style motorcycle traveling in the southbound lanes of Highway 13 with no helmet on June 15, 2019. The deputy attempted to perform a traffic stop on the motorcycle and the driver failed to yield to the deputy. The driver of the motorcycle got up over 100 mph and ran several stop signs during the failure to yield.

Michael Mullen, Jr.- On June 24, Michael Mullen, Jr., 39, Urich, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with a probation violation on original charges of a class D felony possession of a controlled substance and a class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

The charges come from an investigation by the Mid Missouri Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office in November of 2017.

Stealing in Appleton City

On June 25, St. Clair County deputies were dispatched to a residence on NW 1000 Road in reference to a stealing. Upon arrival, the deputies made contact John Parsons, Jr. Parsons advised he had noticed some of his tools stolen from his machine shed along with a Parmak brand solar electric fence charger.

Parsons stated he was missing various hand tools, a 3⁄4 inch Craftsman socket set, and the solar charger. Estimated total loss value is $500.
