Sept. 7 – Clayton Barker, 52, Lowry City, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with probation revocation on original class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. Bond                  set at $5,000 cash only. Barker was in custody at the St. Clair County Jail when the warrant was served. The warrant was issued Aug. 30.

Original charge stems from  St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation June 2012 when Barker was transported to county jail for another agency. During search before entering jail, Zanex was found on his person.   

Sept 8 – Trevor Hayes, 24, Clinton, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class B misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and class A misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $2,500 cash or surety. Warrant issued Aug. 30 and charges stem from Osceola Police Department investigation on April 22.

Deputy took theft report on NE 700 Rd. Ammon Troyer reported Marlin .22 caliber bolt action rifle missing from his house. Rifle has wood stock, blued barrel and scope.

Sept. 9 – Paul Reaves, 52, Collins,  arrested on  St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony unlawful possession of a firearm and class D felony unlawful use of a weapon. Bond  set at $20,000 cash or surety.

Charges stem from  St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation  previous day on SE 951 Rd, Collins, when deputies responded to  report of  threat. During investigation it was discovered Reaves brandished a long rifle in  angrily and threatening manner. He allegedly made threats to kill female individual.

Sept. 11 – Aaron Barnes, 30, Weaubleau, arrested at his residence on SE T Hwy on several warrants from multiple jurisdictions. Barnes had a total of 18 active warrants of which 12 were extraditable.

Barnes arrested on two Hickory County warrants charging him with class C felony possessing a controlled substance, class D felony unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and failing to appear in court on a class A misdemeanor charge of tampering with a motor vehicle-second degree. He was arrested on an Independence Police Department warrant charging him with class C felony possessing a controlled substance and class A misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.  He was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for failing to appear in court on an ordinance violation of driving while revoked and eight Jackson County warrants for failing to appear in court on misdemeanor charges. Total bond set at $34,700.Sept. 15, a St. Clair County deputy took a report near the intersection of NE 175 Road and NE 185 Road, Osceola, in reference to nails in the road. Terry Smith reported small roofing nails were scattered on the gravel road, just to the east of the intersection. Smith believes the nails were scattered intentionally by an individual. A suspect was named and evidence was collected at the scene.

Sept. 12 – St. Clair County warrant issued for Daniel Smith, 41, Lowry City, charging him with class C felony domestic assault-second degree. Bond set at $20,000 cash or surety. Smith originally charged with class A misdemeanor domestic assault. Sept. 12, the prosecutor dismissed the case and refilled it charging Smith with the felony charge.

Charge stems from investigation Dec. 31, 2015, when St. Clair County deputy responded to  domestic disturbance on NW 151 Rd. Smith allegedly hit a female victim in the face with his fist, placed her in a head lock and hit her again multiple times. Victim had a bite injury to her left wrist and her left shoulder.

Sept. 13 – St. Clair County deputy took a burglary report on NW Highway A, Appleton City. Kristy Stewart reported a .223 caliber rifle and several pieces of jewelry were stolen out of her home. Items reported missing include diamond ear rings, a diamond and gold band ring, an engagement ring, a diamond tennis bracelet, spare keys to vehicles,  and $500 cash.             The investigations are ongoing. Sept. 14 – St. Clair County deputy arrested Kara Scott, 24, Osceola, on a St. Clair County a warrant charging him with two class C felony charges, burglary-second degree and receiving stolen property. Bond set at $20,000 cash or surety. Charges stem from an Osceola Police Department investigation in August.

St. Clair County deputy arrested Eric Bell, 26, Osceola, on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with two class C felony charges, burglary-second degree and receiving stolen property. Bond set at $20,000 cash or surety. Charges stem from Osceola Police Department investigation conducted the previous month.

Sept. 14 – Robert Pettyjohn, 34, Appleton City, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with two class C felony charges, rape-second degree and felonious restraint. Bond set at $35,000 cash only.

Charges stem from an incident the previous day when Pettyjohn allegedly raped a female who he was in a domestic relationship with. The victim stated during the incident Pettyjohn placed his hands on the bed over her shoulders to prevent her from escaping.
