Dec 7 – St. Clair County warrant issued for Jacqueline Orr, 22, Brookfield, for failing to obey judge’s order on an original class A misdemeanor charge of non-support. Bond set at $141.50 cash only.

Dec  8 – Deputies responded to Appleton City Feed Store located at West Fourth Street, in reference to stealing. It was noted an employee had chaps stolen while he was working on Dec  6. Video surveillance captured suspect in the store stealing the chaps and placing them inside his pickup truck. Suspect was identified.

Leslie Peay, 30, Springfield, arrested on three St. Clair County warrants for failing to appear in court on misdemeanor charges of driving while revoked, speeding and no set belt. Total bond set at $820 cash only. Original charges stem from Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation Aug. 11.

Dec 9 – Viviana Chavarria, 31, Independence, arrested on St. Clair County warrant for probation violation on original class A misdemeanor charge of domestic assault-third degree. Warrant issued Nov. 8 and bond set at $526.50 cash only.

Original charge stems from incident May 7 when St. Clair County deputy dispatched to a residence on NE WW Hwy, in reference to a domestic disturbance. During investigation it was found Chavarria struck a male victim with object causing him physical injury.

In July Chavarria plead guilty and sentenced to one year in county jail with execution of sentence suspended. She was placed on supervised probation for one year.

Jordan Stillwell, 19, Bolivar, arrested on several St. Clair County warrants for failure to obey a judge’s orders to pay fines in several cases. Original charges include failing to wear safety belt, speeding, failure to register motor vehicle and no insurance. Total bond set at $988 cash only. Charges stem Missouri State Highway Patrol investigations in April and May.

  Mitchell Gibbs, 25, Joplin, arrested on  St. Clair County warrant for probation revocation on original class C felony charge of passing bad checks-$500 or more. Bond set at $494.50 cash only.

St. Clair County warrant issued for Keri Wright, 23, Appleton City, charging her with class C felony forgery. Bond set at $15,000 cash or surety. Charge stems from Osceola Police Department investigation on Sept. 19.

   Dec  10 – Deputy took burglary report on SE 101 Rd. Norma and Lester Shifflett, daughter and son-in-law of victim, John Norval, reported they arrived at residence and found individual loading items into pickup truck.  It was noted individual did not have permission to be on the property, enter buildings or remove items.  After being advised, individual unloaded the truck and left. Several items were reported missing included miscellaneous household items valued at over $500, but not more than $2,500. Later same day, most items were recovered at residence in El Dorado Springs. Formal charges pending.

David Barton, 34, Rody, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond set at $20,000 cash or surety. Charge stems from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation the same day when a deputy conducted traffic stop on Hwy 13 near Osceola in reference to a careless and imprudent driver.  During investigation it was determined Barton’s driver’s license was revoked and he was in possession a glass pipe with white residue. Pipe field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Dec  12 – Deputy responded to call of shoplifter at Dollar General, Lowry City. Manager reported female seen placing roll of trash bags in her purse and left the building without paying for the bags. Description of suspect and vehicle given to deputies. Traffic stop conducted on vehicle on Hwy 13 near B Hwy. Contact made with 59-year-old female who matched description. Items  located and                 female made admissions to taking items without paying. Female taken into custody and transported to St. Clair County Jail. She was later released pending formal charge.

Mackenize Speir, 27, Wideman, AR, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on class A misdemeanor passing a bad check-less than $500. He was also arrested on three other warrants from Bates, Cass and Henry counties for failing to appear in court on bad check charges. Total bond set at $11,000 with $6,000 cash only and $5,000 cash or surety. The St. Clair County charges stems from original incident July 2013.

Gregory Duffy, 41, Osceola, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance and class A misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Bond set at $15,000 cash or surety. Charges stem from Osceola Police Department investigation the previous day.

Dec  14 – Mark Buce, 28, Deepwater,  arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony receiving stolen property and class A misdemeanor resisting/interfering with arrest detention or stop. Bond  set at $15,000 cash or surety.

Charges stem from incident the previous day when a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a pickup truck near NE 501 Rd and Hwy CC. When the deputy activated emergency lights the truck slowed down like it was going to stop then accelerated and continued on NE 501 Rd. Truck travelled for approximately one mile before stopping.  Buce, who was driving the vehicle, was taken into custody. A check of the vehicle revealed it as stolen from Benton County.

Deputy took theft report from Johnnie Carroll. He stated  someone came onto his property on NE 1126, Deepwater, and took a 100 foot orange extension cord, battery charger, Craftsman rollaway tool box with tools, set of 3/4 inch sockets in a red box, red tool box with tools, and    15-gallon drum with scrap aluminum in it. Total value of the items estimated at $576.

Dec 16 – Peter Creasy, 23, Appleton City, -arrested at the St. Clair County Courthouse on a Vernon County warrant for failing to appear in court on a set belt violation. Bond set at $10.
