March 24 – St. Clair County deputy took report in reference to stolen firearm. Chaz Epperson reported he was going fishing and unloaded his boat and parked his truck at Crow’s Crossing, Osceola. Epperson described the firearm as a Savage 17 HMR. Rifle has a customized wooden stock,  pistol grip,  bull barrel on it and  BSA Sweet 17 scope. He estimated value of rifle and scope at $700.

March 27- Derrell Deramus, 23, Springfield, arrested on Henry County warrant for failing to appear in court on class A misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. Warrant issued Nov. 16, 2016, and bond set at $500 cash or surety. Original charge stems from Missouri State Highway Patrol investigation Dec. 6, 2015.

March 28 – Keri Wright, 23, Appleton City, arrested on two St. Clair County warrants for failing to appear in court on ordinance violations of no registration and driving while revoked. Warrants  issued  March 20 and stem from Appleton City Police Department investigation June 2016. Bond set at $455.50.

March 29 – Michael Helm, 32, El Dorado Springs, arrested on St. Clair County warrant for failing to appear in court on original class B felony burglary-first degree. Bond  set at $10,000 cash only. Helm  also arrested on no bond parole violation warrant on original charge of driving while revoked from Jasper County.

March 30 – St. Clair County warrant issued for Brandon Vanblaricon, 37, Clinton, charging him with class C felony possession of  controlled substance and class A misdemeanor unlawful possession of illegal weapon. Bond set at $20,000 cash or surety. Charges stem from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation Nov. 28, 2016, when deputies dispatched to Countyside Trading Post, Osceola, in reference to male subject passed out over steering wheel of vehicle. Vehicle was at gas pumps and had been there for approximately one hour.   

When deputies arrived on scene contact was made with Vanblaricon, who was in driver’s seat. During investigation set of brass knuckles and plastic bag containing substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine were located in his possession.

Taha Merghani, 23, Jackson, MS, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class A misdemeanor resisting arrest, and class B misdemeanor exceeding posted speed limit by 26 miles per hour or more. Bond set at $5,000 cash only.

Charges stem fromSt. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation during late night hours on March 28 when deputy observed  vehicle traveling north on Hwy 13 approaching Hwy TT. Vehicle appeared to be traveling at high rate of speed. Check indicated vehicle  traveling at 101 miles per hour in  65 mile per hour zone.

Traffic stop onducted and Merghani stated his reason for speeding was he was trying to get to conference in Kansas City.  Deputy started to issue Merghani  citation for careless and imprudent driving and he refused to sign citation.  He was informed if he did not sign the citation then he would be arrested and taken to jail to assure his appearance for court.  Merghani still refused to sign.  The deputy attempted to place him under arrest. Merghani tried to pull away, fell to the ground and continued to pull away.  He stood up and continued to try and get away.  Deputy and Osceola Police Department officer assisted him to the ground where he continued to try and get up.  They were able to get Merghani into custody and he was transported to the St. Clair County Jail.    

St. Clair County deputies took burglary report on SW 871 Rd, El Dorado Springs.  Neighbor reported towner of property is Mae Miller and he keeps an eye on her property. It was noted a refrigerator was missing and there was broken grill lying in the ditch. Total value of  items estimated at $429.

April 2 – St. Clair County deputy took shoplifting complaint from employee at Dollar General, Appleton City. Employee reported unknown white male, possibly in his thirties, wearing dark colored baseball hat, dark colored shirt and dark colored zip up jacket entered store with  empty plastic bag. He wandered around store for a few minutes picking up various items and placing them in bag. Items included black wallet, Tide detergent pods,  cell phone power bank, and cell phone charger. There was another unknown item placed in bag.

Short time later individual brought bag up to cash register and stated he wanted to return  items inside his bag. Cashier told  individual he did not have the items in the bag when he entered  store. Man insisted they were and advised employees to look up security footage to prove his story.

Items left near register and the video footage checked. Video allegedly showed man pull an empty plastic Dollar General bag from rack and enter store with  bag in his pocket. It showed the man take items off the shelf and place them into bag before proceeding to register.

While employees were viewing  video, man went back to counter, pulled the bag from his jacket pocket, filled it with same items, and walked out of store without paying for any of the items. Request for prosecution signed and tvalue of items estimated at $50.

April 3 – Curtice Alderman, 35, Springfield, arrested at St. Clair County Courthouse on no bond parole violation warrant. Alderman on parole for an original class B felony charge of robbery-second degree from Platte County in 2007.

Alderman in St. Clair County Court for appearance on charges stemming from investigation Feb.25 when he failing to yield to Osceola Police Department on Hwy 13. St. Clair County deputies joined in chase on B Hwy where speeds were noted in excess of 110 miles per hour. Vehicle entered Bates County, turned north on P Hwy into driveway, and into a dirt field.  When vehicle came to  stop the driver, Alderman, got out and ran east though field.  Deputies pursued him into field and took him into custody approximately 100 yards from his vehicle. 15-year old female juvenile identified as  passenger in tvehicle. Alderman  charged with class D felony endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk-first degree, class E felony resisting arrest by fleeing-creating a substantial risk of serious injury/death to any person, class D misdemeanor driving while suspended, and class B misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner.

During the court appearance a jury trial was scheduled for March 13, 2018, with pre trial conference scheduled for Dec. 4, 2017.

St. Clair County Deputy arrested Richard Steward, 57, Osceola, on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession on controlled substance and class D misdemeanor possession of marijuana-10 grams or less. Bond set at $10,000 cash or surety. Charges stem from Osceola Police Department investigation March 2.

     April 4 – St. Clair County deputy arrested Jesse Sharp, 31, Lincoln, on three Bates County warrants from Adrian Police Department for failing to appear in court. Sharp charged with misdemeanor careless and imprudent driving, resisting arrest and no insurance. Total bond set at $150 cash only.

      April 5 – St. Clair County warrant issued for Richard McKinley Jr., 45, Collins, charging him with class D felony non support-total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. Bond set at $1,500 cash only.

   April 7 – St. Clair County deputy took burglary report on NE 301 Rd, Deepwater. Jerome Ammann reported he has two locks on chain he uses as a gate. One lock cut and  other broke. After checking his building, he found several items missing. Items missing include two Homelite water pumps, roller tool box, five smaller tool boxes with miscellaneous tools, gasoline small engine with horizontal shaft, farm six volt/12 volt battery charger with boost, Echo weed eater, dead lawn mower battery,  220 volt small Lincoln stick welder, one 7,000 watt generator and two four horse power Coleman generators. Value of items was estimated at $1,360.

     April 8 – Donovan Gregg, 29, Collins, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony domestic assault-second degree. Warrant issued  June 15, 2016 and bond set at $15,000 cash or surety. Charge stems from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation May 2016 when Gregg allegedly punched female in the head with his fist numerous times.

During  early morning hours  April 8, deputies dispatched to  grass fire on NW 800 Rd, Appleton City. Property owner reported vehicle stopped in front of residence and gunshot was heard. After the shot, street light went out and grass underneath caught fire.  Deputies  able to extinguish fire and bullet hole discovered in light fixture.

      April 9 – Bobby Louvier, 34, Collins, arrested in St. Clair County on arrest warrant from Cass County. Warrant charges Louvier with class A misdemeanor domestic assault-third degree. Warrant issued March 13, 2017, bond  set at $5,000 with 10-percecnt cash. Charge stems from  Cass County Sheriff’s office investigation December 2016.

      Micheal Robinson, 45, Clinton, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of controlled substance and class D misdemeanor possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana. Bond set at $12,500 cash or surety.

      April 10 – Richard McKinley Jr., 45, Collins, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony non support-total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under order of support. Bond set at $1,500 cash only.

      Charges stem from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation previous day when traffic stop conducted on vehicle Robinson was driving. During investigation white film container located. It containing quarters, marijuana and white crystal substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine.

      Jose Jimenez Garcia, 34, Kansas City, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on  unclassified misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended. Warrant issued July 6, 2016, and bond set at $500 cash only.

     Charge stems from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation April 22, 2016, when deputy conducted traffic stop on Hwy 54 near Collins. Jimenez Garcia was driving and further investigation discovered his driver’s license  suspended. He was issued a citation and informed contact a licensed driver to get him and his vehicle.

   Missouri Department of Corrections Board of Probation and Parole issued arrest warrants for five individuals wanted for absconding supervision.

      Pamela Williams, 27, Osceola, wanted for absconding supervision on original offense of felony receiving stolen property.

       Jessica Thomas, 24,Osceola,  wanted for absconding supervision on original offense of felony possession of controlled substance.      

April 12 – St. Clair County deputy took report from Nancy Nelson in reference to someone shooting out her yard light at her residence on M Hwy, Appleton City. Nelson stated representative from Osage Valley Electric currently at her residence to replace the light and photo cell. Damage to light totaled $162.94 and appeared to be caused by a small caliber bullet.

Courtney Hopkins, 32, Appleton City, arrested April 12 in Kansas City for absconding supervision on original offenses of felony forgery, burglary-second degree and receiving stolen property.

Sandra Marconi, 46, Collins, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging her with class A misdemeanor fraudulent use of credit device. Bond set at $2,500 cash or surety.

Charge stems from incident March 4. Sheriff’s office investigation started April 3, when Amber Kindred reported fraudulent activity on her debit card issued to her with the balance of her tax refund from H&R Block. Information received showing transactions from several dates in March totaling $200.43. Kindred stated Marconi made transactions without authorization. Several of receipts show payments made on accounts used by Marconi. Two of the receipts show Western Union money transfers from Kindred to Marconi. It was noted Marconi set up a Western Union account in Kindred’s name using Marconi’s e-mail address.

April 15 – Leland Dwayne Daggett, 61, Osceola, arrested and taken into custody on several outstanding felony warrants after traffic stop conducted on vehicle he was a passenger in on SE 701 Rd, Collins. During incident Daggett exited vehicle while it was moving and ran towards a fenced pasture field. Deputy pursued him on foot for about 150 yards, commanding him multiple times to stop.  Daggett refused to yield to the commands and was tased. He fell to the ground, but continued to refuse commands and started to resist. He was tased again, eventually complied, and taken into custody.

Warrant obtained and April 16, Daggett arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class E felony resisting arrest for a felony. Charge stems from incident the previous day. Bond on that charge et at $50,000 cash only      

Daggett also arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond  set at $60,000 cash only. Charge stems from investigation June 9, 2016, when St. Clair County Sheriff’s office deputies and members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Daggett’s residence on SE 401 Rd, Osceola. During investigation a glass pipe and bag containing white powder that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located.

Daggett was arrested on Henry County warrant charging him class B felony distribution of controlled substance and two class C felony charges of unlawful possession of firearm. Bond set at $10,000 cash only. This was in Henry County on change of venue and stems from  incident July 16 when St. Clair County Sheriff’s office deputies, members of the Mid Missouri Multi Jurisdiction Drug Task Force and  Morgan County SWAT Team conducted search warrant at his residence on SE 401 Rd, Osceola. During nvestigation digital scales and plastic bag containing white substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine discovered along with firearms in garden on property.
