June 17 – Deputy took report regarding counterfeit money. Ed and Jan Paterson reported they recently had an auction and when they received their share of the money from the auction company, two of the one-hundred dollar bills were found to be counterfeit.

June 18 – Deputy took stealing complaint on T Hwy. Nathan Doll reported damage to locked gate and Kubota tractor, trailer and box blade missing from property. Trailer described as orange in color, Kodiak brand, dual axle trailer. 60-inch Economy brand box blade was orange and was sitting on the trailer. Doll reported a window was broken out of an RV on the property.

Deputy took report of stolen vehicle on NW 100 Rd. Victor Garrett reported his white 2004 Ford F-150 Super cab four wheel drive truck missing from end of driveway next to road. June 19, deputy  dispatched to burnt vehicle on NW 171 Rd. During investigation it was determined vehicle was Garrett’s.

June 19 – Jacob Hudgens, 39, Osceola, arrested on St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony domestic assault-second degree. Bond set at $15,000 cash or surety.

Charge stems from investigation the same day when deputies responded to disturbance on NE 276 Rd.  Hudgens allegedly struck female victim with a closed fist and choked her on three different occasions.

Jay Brown, 45, Fort Scott, KS, arrested on two Vernon County warrants. Brown charged with misdemeanor contempt of court and assault. Bond is set at $256.20 cash only.

June 21- Jacob Harper, 25, Osceola, arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony domestic assault-second degree. Bond set at $15,000 cash or surety.

Charge stems from incident May 30 when Harper allegedly assaulted a female victim during an argument. Harper allegedly grabber the female by her arms and threw her down onto a bed and put his hands around her neck and squeezed tightly, choking her.

June 22 – William Goodwin, 50, Clinton, arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond set at $15,000 cash or surety.

Charge stems from St. Clair County Sheriff’s office investigation the previous day on NE 364 Rodo. During oinvestigation a glass pipe with residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine o located under the driver’s front seat of Goodwin’s vehicle.
