On the evening of Nov. 2, nearly 600 supporters of Christian Education gathered for the El Dorado Christian School’s 41st annual Fall Chili Supper and Auction.

This event is hosted annually by the ECS Buffalo PTO. Hours of prayer and preparation came together for a successful evening. The proceeds for the evening came in just shy of $80,000. Our community’s kindness and generosity are unmatched.

The funds will be used to make up the tuition shortfall keeping quality Christian Education affordable for our community, giving the well deserved teachers a Christmas bonus, providing funds for each of the teachers to complete their continuing education requirements, and improving facilities to make it more accessible to those with handicaps.

El Dorado Christian School appreciates many in the community who stepped up to make it a successful event. Abbott Angus Farm and Ohmes Cattle Company provided the meat in which the chili and vegetable beef soups were made, and Royal Neighbors faithfully supplied the crackers for the event again this year. Mrs Dixie Christensen’s provided pies were served and available for purchase, an incredible labor of love. Larry Hacker and Marley McLerran were the gentlemen who voiced our night and got the bids rolling. They were assisted by a select few of our dashing students who were able to ring in and work the crowd. Thanks again for your dedication to Christian Education.
