On Wednesday morning, September 22, El Dorado Christian School gathered together to celebrate, “See You At The Pole” (SYATP) 2021. Every year a theme is chosen, this year  it was entitled; “Just Pray.”  In James, chapter 4 verse 10, the Bible says, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”  ECS Student Council & Sponsor, Mrs. Krystal Wyant led the SYATP Event, and Pastor Chad Daniel, of Community Church of El Dorado Springs, delivered the message.  He shared with the ECS students, Preschool through 12th grade, “Get down on your knees before the Master; it is the only way you’ll get on your feet.  God also tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, ‘If my people who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.’”  Pastor Daniel encouraged the students “to pray, devote yourself to prayer…God is listening.  Be consistent, talk to God with simple words; pray anytime…any place.”  What powerful, loved-filled words shared by Pastor Daniel.

ECS students were dismissed into prayer circles, which were led by the StuCo Worship Team.   SYATP is a global day of prayer that originated in Texas in the early 1990’s with only ten students. According to the website, www.syatp.com, the number of students participating has grown to over 6 million across the United States.
