El Dorado Springs Scholar Bowl teams saw their first Ozark Mountain Conference action on Thursday, Jan. 10. at home as El Dorado Springs, Sherwood and Butler competed with varsity and junior varsity teams.

The Bulldog Varsity team had a 3-1 record on the night.  After losing to Sherwood in Game 2, they came back and defeated them in Game 4. They were the top-scoring varsity team and were led by Hunter Jacobs (200 points) and Sarah King (120 points).  Ethan Roberts, Brock Kirbey and Taten Janes also contributed to the successful night. The varsity record now stands at 13-7 on the year.

The JV winning streak came to an end as the younger Bulldog players lost to Butler’s varsity and junior varsity teams. They defeated Sherwood’s JV team and Butler’s Varsity team in their other two matches for a 2-2 record on the night.

They were the top-scoring Junior Varsity team and were led by Megan Griffin with 190 points.  Lydia Eason, Tevis Edmiston, and Naudiya Anderson joined the effort.  The JV record now stands at 10-2.

The next competition for both teams will be on Thursday, Jan. 17, in Nevada for the Challenge Games Tournament.
