ELDO ALL DISTRICT HONOR CHOIR REPORT

On Saturday, September 10, 2022, 4 El Dorado Springs choir students; Corban Collins, Shae Hamilton, Kentley Rieder, and Alora Long traveled to Carthage High School to audition for the SWMMEA All-District Honor Choir. Students have a fast turn around from the beginning of school to prep for this audition by getting a solo ready, practicing sight reading, and key signatures. Well over 300 students from various districts auditioned. Corban Collins was selected for the junior/ senior honor choir and Kentley Rieder was selected for the freshman/ sophomore choir. They will travel to Joplin on October 22, 2022, to rehearse all day with guest clinicians and perform in concerts that evening. Corban Collins will also be moving on to the second round of auditions for All State Choir that takes place at the Missouri Music Educators Conference in January.
