FFA CHAPTER AND GREENHAND CEREMONY – On Oct. 5, we held our Chapter and Greenhand Degree Ceremony. There were 55 Greenhand Recipients and 25 Chapter Recipients. To earn these degrees, members have to work hard in the classroom, in the FFA, and in their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE). We informed the parents on upcoming events and held a regular meeting of the chapter. We announced the winner of the creed speaking contest that was held early in the week. Freshmen had the chance to memorize the Creed and present it to three judges. Abigail Klaiber took 1st place and received a guaranteed seat on the National Convention Trip. Heritage State Bank sponsored prizes for the top three students. We got to hear a speech from one of the state officers Macey Hurst. She spoke on opportunity and striving for goals. Congratulations to all degree recipients!
