HEADED FOR STATE

On Friday, February 28th, the El Dorado Springs HS Competitive Speech Team traveled to Odessa to compete in the MSHSAA Class 1 competition for District 6. Due to qualification requirements, sickness, and prior commitments, only thirteen Bulldogs were able to make the trip. After fighting hard through the preliminary rounds, the following students made it to District Finals: Izzy Whitesell, Wyatt Wilkinson, Audrey Goatley, Haydin Miller, Kyndal Swopes, Natalie Bruce, Crayton Thorell, Syler Keirsey, and Carmen Caddy. Battling through finals, thus making it to state, are Wyatt Wilkinson for Poetry, Izzy Whitesell for Dramatic Interpretation,  and Haydin Miller and CraytonThorell for Duo. The MSHSAA State Speech Competition will be held on April 25-26 at the MSU Campus in Springfield, Mo.
