NELLIE NICHOLAS SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

NELLIE NICHOLAS SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS – The Sac Osage Retired School Employees Association ( SORSEA) met on Monday, June 17, to honor the 2019 winners of the Nellie Nicholas Scholarships and their families.  A sweet and savory reception was provided by the SORSEA members.  All scholarship recipients were able to attend, with the exception of Tyler Goatley who was working at summer camp.

Nellie Nicholas was a special SORSEA member who left money to provide generous scholarships to those wishing to pursue the teaching profession. Applications are available each Spring and applicants are encouraged to re-apply each year.

A short meeting followed, presided by President Sherry Wiseman.  Sue Lundy, a recent retiree was welcomed by the group.

The next meeting will be Sept. 16.
