SCHOLAR BOWL NEWS – The El Dorado Springs Scholar Bowl Team consisting of sophomores Hunter Jacobs, Sarah King and Samantha Cox along with freshmen Taten Janes, Brock Kirbey, and Ethan Roberts finished 3rd at the Branson Freshmen-Sophomore Tournament on March 23 and earned a really nice plaque. The team defeated Skyline, Buffalo, and Republic, but fell short with Branson, who ended up winning the tournament. Second/Third places were decided by points. We were 10 points or 1 question behind the 2nd-place team. Hunter Jacobs made the All-Tournament Team by being in the top 10 scorers. He scored 80 points for our team. Taten Janes wasn’t far behind with 70 points followed by Sarah King with 50 points, Brock Kirby with 30 points and Samantha Cox with 10 points.
