SPEECH SUCCESS

The incoming cold weather did not stop ElDo’s Competitive Speech Team from being on fire during the Stockton Tourney! After several last minute drops for various reasons, only 13 students headed to Stockton HS to compete on Saturday, Jan. 4. Yet, this was one of ElDo’s most successful tournaments of the season. Coming out on top were the following:  Izzy Whitesell, first place in Dramatic Interpretation,  Alex DeMint, fourth place in Dramatic Interpretation,  Aubrey Lundy and Izzy Whitesell, second in Duo, Natalie Bruce and Kyndal Swopes, fifth in Duo, Crayton Thorell and Haydin Miller, third in Duo, Audrey Goatley, first in Prose, Wyatt Wilkinson, second in Poetry and second in Informational, and Haydin Miller fourth in Storytelling. The El Do team, as a whole, won third in sweepstakes points! Coach Tandi Leonard said, “This is a team full of potential and I only expect the talent to blossom and grow! “.
