THE EASTER TREE – On the evening of March 7, under the direction of El Dorado Christian School music teacher, Mrs. Elle Biron, Kindergarten through sixth grade students performed the children’s musical, “The Easter Tree” written by Pam Andrews and Pam Walker.  The setting of the musical is a few days before Easter on the church steps and, in the woods behind the community church. “In The Easter Tree, the true message of Easter is discovered through scripture based clues. Children on a mysterious “hunt for Easter,” their Bibles as their only maps, discover the meaning of Easter in Jesus Christ, God’s Son.”  The cast of the musical was lead by Isaac Hubbard (John), Sophia Bryson (Hilary), Kaydince Kindle (Beth), Rowan Johnson (Anna), Nellie Dresch (Mrs. Smith), and Jake Stomp as (Pastor Dan).  Prior to the musical beginning, ECS Preschool classes, ages 3 and 4, sang “Alive”, “The World of Color”, and the “Jelly Bean Prayer.” The “littles” were directed by their pre-school teachers, Mrs. Sherri Keith, K-3, and Mrs. Bertha Gingerich, K-4.  The performances were a wonderful experience for the over 400 in attendance; they watched as the Easter Story unfolded before their eyes.
