TWO SEATED IN DISTRICT HONOR BAND – I am very excited to announce that El Dorado Springs took five kids to All-District Honor Band Auditions in Mount Vernon HS. Of these five students, Junior Caleb Alexander earned 2nd Chair in the All-District Honor Band on Tenor Saxophone. While Freshman Ethan Roberts earned 6th Chair in the All-District Honor Band on Trumpet. Ethan was the highest chair freshman trumpet player in the group!, This is Caleb’s second year as a member of this group.
These two young men have put in a lot of hours and work over the past couple of months. They traveled to Hickman High School in Columbia on Dec. 3, 2016, for the All-State Honor Band Auditions! Neither, Caleb or Ethan, made the All-State Band, but both students had a great auditions and an awesome experience. Our town has a lot to be proud of with our young people.Jordan K.
