In executive session, Supt. Mark Koca gave notice of his intent to retire at the end of the school year.

In his budget update, Supt. Koca said student enrollment is down 51 students which will really hurt finances the next two years. Each student brings in about $6,000 in state aid.

The board declared a list of surplus property for the school auction.

Board President Darrell Eason said they will wait two weeks then start looking to fill the superintendent position. He hopes to have a candidate by Thanksgiving.
