The El Dorado Springs boys basketball team spent the week in Skyline at the Skyline tournament. Game one saw El Dorado facing the seventh-ranked team in Class 1 Leeton Bulldogs. The game was close throughout with the El Dorado Bulldogs taking a six point lead into halftime. The game went into overtime before Leeton pulled away to win 60-53. Clayton Collins led all scorers with 20. Ian Esry added 16 and Preston Robison had 13.

The loss put the Bulldogs against the Warsaw Wildcats. El Dorado jumped out to an early 23-8 first quarter lead and a 40-17 halftime lead. The Bulldogs lost focus in the fourth quarter and allowed the Wildcats to make the game close but hung on for a 63-54 win. Gaven Morgan led the Bulldogs with 15 points. Esry had 14, Robison 12, and Collins 11.

The win put El Dorado in the consolation finals against the Climax Springs Cougars. The game was low scoring with both teams playing good, physical defense. The Bulldogs showed a lot of toughness in the second half and won 43-37. Ian Esry led the Bulldogs with 16 points.

El Dorado is currently 7-6 on the season and plays Lamar at home on Tuesday and travels to Adrian on Thursday.
