The El Dorado Bulldogs spent the week traveling to Clinton for the Clinton Tournament. The Bulldog’s first game was against number one seeded Grandview Christian. Despite a being at a size disadvantage, the Bulldogs hung tough and trailed only 10-7 at the end of the first quarter. Grandview Christian slowly pulled away throughout the game and won by a final of 64-42. Clayton Collins led the Bulldogs with 13 points and Ian Esry added 12.

The second game put El Dorado against the host school, the Clinton Cardinals. The game was close throughout. The Bulldogs held a 27-24 lead at the half and a one-point lead at the end of the third quarter. But the Cardinals pulled away in the fourth quarter and won 54-44. Ian Esry and Preston Robison both had 11 and Will McKinney had 10.

The final game of the tournament put the Bulldogs against Kansas City East high school. The Bulldogs trailed 27-23 at the half. A tremendous defensive third quarter had the Bulldogs outscore East 18-4 on route to a 56-48 win. Ian Esry had 18, Preston Robison 17, and Will McKinney added 10.

The Bulldogs are currently 8-10 on the year. They travel to Lockwood on Monday and Warsaw on Friday.
