The El Dorado Springs boys basketball team spent their Christmas break competing in the Doug Loehr Holiday Classic in Weaubleau. The fourth-seeded Bulldogs played the fifth-seeded Climax Springs Cougars. The Bulldogs came away with a 58-46 win. Gaven Morgan led the Bulldogs with 14 points. Preston Robison and Clay Collins each added 12.

The win sent El Dorado to the second round to face the Lakeland Vikings. The Vikings were the number one seed in the tournament and the number one ranked team in Class 2. The Vikings beat the Bulldogs 67-47. Preston Robison and Kaden Burley led the Bulldogs in scoring with 9 each.

The loss put the Bulldogs in the third-place game against the host, the Weaubleau Tigers. In a low scoring game, the Tigers came out with a 48-40 win. Gaven Morgan led the Bulldogs with 11 points. Clayton Collins and Landon Murry chipped in 10 points apiece.

The Bulldogs are currently 4-5 on the season and 1-1 in conference play. The Bulldogs will host a conference foe, the Butler Bears, on Thursday and travel to Skyline on Friday.
