ECS ATHLETES BRING HOME MEDALS FROM TRACK NATIONALS

The El Dorado Christian School Track team traveled to Bolivar, Missouri, to the two-day track finals on Wednesday and Thursday, May 11 & 12, to compete in the 2022 Homeschool Nationals hosted by Southwest Baptist University. The ECS Buffalos worked extremely hard, bringing home medals, setting new PR’s and placing in several events in the top 8 positions! This is a big accomplishment; there were over one thousand-two hundred athletes competing in six different age divisions; 8 years of age & under in the first division and ending with 18 & under. Coaches Becky LeeMasters and Jill Ash praised their athletes, “…even with the total number of athletes increasing by 350, they worked hard, won medals and individual points…it was a great ending to our season….we are very proud of our ECS track teams…” Pictured: l-r: Brookelyn Williams, Madison Shipp, Rowan Johnson, Olivia Bryson, Jodie Yates, Deonsay McNeill, Sydney Williams, Breann Reasoner and Sophia Bryson. Results for the girls: 14 & U: Brookelyn Williams, Madison Shipp, Rowan Johnson, Sophia Bryson; 5th in 4x200m relay. 16 & U: Olivia Bryson; 2nd in triple jump, 3rd in 1500m steeple chase, 7th in high jump; Jodie Yates; 2nd in shot put; Breanne Reasoner, 4th in javelin, 5th in shot put. 18 & U: Deonsay McNeill; 2nd in shot put, 3rd in discus. 18 & U: Sophie Bryson, Sydney Williams, Breann Reasoner and Deonsay McNeill, 6th in 4 x 100m.
