ECS BOYS TAKE 2ND IN STATE TRACK MEET – The MCSAA 2017 State Track Finals kicked off Friday night, May 5 at Junge Stadium in Joplin. Dash prelims, vault, long jump and 3200m run were a few of the events that took place; Athletes from ECHS medaled and set new PR’s in several of the evening’s events. The Buffalo track teams, both boys and girls swept the pole vault competition taking the top spots in Division 1. Results: Top 5 positions at MCSAA State Track Division 1: Brayden Housh, 2nd in pole vault, 5th in triple jump; Seth McKinney, 1st place MCSAA High Point Athlete (36 pts.), gold in 110m hurdles, gold in 300m hurdles, gold in pole vault and 3rd in triple jump; Colten Pike, MCSAA High Point Athlete with 21 pts., 2nd in discus, 3rd in vault and 5th in 200m; Drew Steuck placed 2nd in MCSAA High Point Athlete with 30 pts., gold in 800m run, gold in 1600m run, and gold in 3200m run.
