Their two year record is 24 and 1, and yes, you read it correctly. El Dorado Christian Junior High Lady Buffalo’s and their Coach Craig Johnson has had an amazing season to say the least. Almost two months ago to the day, they started what would become a fast-paced, big score season. They began on the road with Overland Christian in early November, followed by Christian Learning Center, Clinton Christian Academy; Heartland Christian and good friends Show-Me Christian; they won every game. December dealt the Lady Buffalos with tough games against Plaza Heights Christian and Center Place Restoration School in Independence; but they kept winning. Hard work, hours of free throws and 3-point shots, led these nine to the Feb. 5, JH MoKan Tournament Championship game. The ironic twist to the season; their first game in November was against OCS; and the final Championship match-up had come full circle; the Lady Buffalo’s were fighting for first against OCS (Overland Christian School). Each team played hard, but at the buzzer, Coach Johnson and his Lady Buffalo’s had won the first place trophy at the 2022 JH MoKan Conference Tournament! Hence the #1’s.
