The ElDo Bulldogs beat the Versailles Tigers 33-30 on Friday, 9/15. The Bulldogs were able to beat their new conference opponent in large part due to winning the turnover battle, 5 to 0. Defensively, the Bulldogs had 3 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries. Maverick Mitchell interception with a little under 2 minutes left in the game, sealed the victory for the Bulldogs as they were able to take a knee and run out the clock. Offensively, ElDo was able to control the clock by running the ball and hit some big plays in the passing game. They finished the game with 402 yards of total offense (306 rushing and 95 passing). The Bulldogs are now 1-3 on the season and will face the Butler Bears who are 4-0 on the season. The Bulldogs will face the Bears at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, at home. This will be the school’s fall homecoming game.
