The El Dorado Springs JV football team hosted the Seneca Indians on Monday, Sept. 18, The final score was 30 to 12.

The  Bulldogs came out and moved the ball on the first drive but it was picked in the end zone. On the second drive the  Bulldogs were able to get it in the end zone.  Gaven Morgan led the way with a long run. The 2 point conversion was good making the score 8 to 0.

The Bulldog defense played really well and was all over the field. This created problems for the Seneca Indians. The  Bulldogs then marched down the field again in the second quarter. This resulted in a touchdown by Taylor Wingert followed by a successful 2 point conversion making the score 16 to 0  Bulldogs. Going into halftime the score was 16 to 0.

The  Bulldogs received the ball at halftime but the Indians came out and stopped them. The Indians then marched down the field and scored a touchdown making the score 16 to 6. The Bulldog offense then scored a touchdown by Issac Shadden making the lead for the  Bulldogs 22 to 6. The 2 point conversion was successful making the score 24 to 6.

The  Bulldogs went into the fourth quarter with a lead. The Indians were not going to give up. They drove down the field and punched in another score making the score 24 to 12. They then tried an onside kick, but it was recovered by Trey Graves. The Bulldog offense came out and scored one more by Hunter Boyles putting a commanding lead 30 to 12 with little time left in the 4th quarter.

The defense played hard and stopped the Indians from scoring again. The final play of the game was a pick by Taylor Wingert. The final score of the game was 30 to 12  Bulldogs.

This victory over the Indians gave the JV football boys a record of 3-1. They played Monday, Sept. 25, against Adrian at home. The coaches are excited watching this team grow. They have been working hard each practice to get better. They are starting to execute and do the small things right.

GAVEN  MORGAN SEALS THE DEAL – The score of the JV Bulldog/Adrian Black Hawks game Monday night at home was 20 – 14 Bulldogs when Gaven Morgan got free for his second TD of the night. No Black Hawk even came close to catching him. The young Dogs won 28 – 14.
