On Thursday Keilan Jacques competed in the MSHSAA State Wrestling Tournament for the second year in a row.

Keilan entered his four-man bracket as the 3 seed facing the 2nd seed. Keilan lost the first match by being pinned in the second round.

He would continue into the wrestle back rounds. In his second match Keilan got a first round pin advancing to the next round.

Keilan came back Friday to wrestle in the second round of wrestle backs. Keilan would face off against the eventual 3rd place wrestler. Keilan battled hard and lasted 3 rounds but lost the match and was eliminated from the tournament.

His 2nd round gave Keilan a top 12 state finish for the year.

Keilan ended his career on Friday as the only 2 time state qualifier in the El Dorado Springs wrestling program. He also replaced former wrestler Blake Holder to be the all-time wins leader with a final record career record of 119 wins and 51 losses.
