KEILAN JACQUES QUALIFIES FOR STATE – On Friday, Feb. 8, the Bulldog Wrestling Team traveled to the District Championships in Knob Noster. Senior 195 pound wrestler Keilan Jacques went undefeated on Friday and entered Saturday’s competition in the semifinals with an opportunity to qualify for state. He would have to face the No. 1 ranked 195 pound wrestler in the state to move to the championship round. Keilan was pinned in the first round and moved into the consolation side of the bracket with another chance to qualify for state. Keilan got a second round pin to qualify for state and move to the 3rd place match. In the third place match Keilan won the match 6-4 to take 3rd place in districts. Keilan is the first ever two – time state qualifier for the El Dorado Springs Wrestling team. He is also the first Bulldog wrestler to finish higher than 4th place at the district championships. Keilan will wrestle in the state tournament starting on Thursday, Feb. 14, through the championship rounds on Saturday, Feb. 16.
