The El Dorado Springs Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to play for third in the Skyline tournament which was postponed because of ice.

Coach Beau Swopes reports on the tournament to date:

On Jan. 7, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to Skyline to take on the Warsaw Wildcats. The Lady Bulldogs got out to a great start outscoring the Wildcats 19-6 in the first quarter. The Lady Bulldogs used good defense to extend their lead throughout the game to take a 52-25 victory in the first round of the Skyline Tournament. Leading the Bulldogs in scoring was Paige Esry 18, Anyssa Salazar 12, and Taylor Robison 7.

In the second round of the Skyline tournament the Lady Bulldogs took on the number 1 seeded host school Skyline Tigers. The Lady Bulldogs played well for the first few minutes of the game, but Skyline’s constant pressure wore down the Lady Bulldogs both physically and mentally. Skyline pushed their early lead out to 27 going into the half and never looked back as they took down the Lady Bulldogs 68-20. Leading the Lady Bulldogs in scoring was Paige Esry with 8.

The third place game against Weaubleau was postponed and will be played Wednesday night at 5:30.
