NATIONALS READY – The El Dorado Christian School Track teams embarked on a two-day trip to Liberty May 9 and 10 to compete in the 2018 Homeschool Nationals hosted by William Jewell University.  There were approximately 700 athletes, some traveling from as far away as Hawaii.  The opening evening on the 9th consisted of; the Triathlon, for ages 12 and under, the Pentathlon, ages 14 to 18, 2400m run and 3200m run.  Thursday, May 10, was your typical day at a track meet;  sun burns, little shade and 92 degree weather.  The Buffalo track team worked hard; they ran, jumped, and threw harder, and brought home 26 medals (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) and 19 ribbons (4, 5, 6th place).  There was also an additional 12 athletes who placed in the top 8 positions.  Nationals have been held in Springfield, Bolivar and now Liberty.  This is the final “Hoorah” of the 2018 ECS track season, bittersweet.
