On Thursday January 26, our Bulldog Wrestling team held senior night at their home quad. The seniors recognized included Montana Hacker, Blayze McCullough, and Wyatt Vangordon. Each of these wrestlers have wrestled all 4 years of high school. Coach Daniel Stantorf is incredibly proud of each of these wrestlers and how far they’ve come since their freshman year, “I’m super proud of their accomplishments, and all 3 of them have developed into exceptional wrestlers these past 4 years. Right now all are set to have high rankings at the district tournaments because of their previous success.”
On a team level, the wrestlers competed against Butler, Reed Springs, and Cole Camp. Both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs had a very successful night as they both went 3-0.
The Lady Bulldogs completely dominated that night, beating Butler with a score 60-6, Reed Springs with a score of 48-18, and Cole Camp with a score of 54-0.
The Bulldog wrestlers did the same, beating Butler with a score of 36-28, Reed Springs with a score of 54-18, and Cole Camp with a score of 54-0.
Coach Stan couldn’t have asked for a better outcome on senior night, “As a team we have followed the mottos of trust the process and peak at the right time. Our kids have really bought into that and it’s showing. With districts right around the corner we are wrestling our best, senior night was a great example with getting all 3 wins.”
