On Friday, they beat Dadeville 4-1 in Round 1 in six innings on Friday behind Jace Cundiff, who went 2-3.

·  Dadeville couldn’t get anything going so long as Tailor Hutsell was on the hill. Dadeville managed just one hit off of Hutsell, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out five during her 5 1/3 innings of work.

Neely ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. She lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out 11, and allowed four runs.

The El Dorado Springs Bulldogs Varsity went up for good in the first, scoring one run on an RBI single by Anyssa Salazar.

Dadeville’s lone run of the ballgame came in the sixth inning on a fielder’s choice.
