On Thursday, Oct. 28, our volleyball team played their last game of the season against Springfield Catholic. This was one of our few losses, but the one that cost us the most because it was our sectional game. We lost in the third set with scores of 13-25, 11-25, and 11-25.

Our girls had a fantastic season with 34 wins, three losses, and two ties. They were also 8-0 and in the conference. These girls are Conference Champions and  Class 3 District 12 Champions. Coach Ashely Rogers is insanely proud of her girls and said, “I am very proud of the work these girls put into our season.  We start long before the actual season starts with open gyms, conditioning, and weight room workouts and move into our summer camps.  We had excellent attendance this year and hope to see that continue in the future.”

The end of a season is hard for any sport, especially in high school. With this being the last season for seniors, it can lead to an emotional time. Macie Mays, 11, says, “The seniors will be missed, but I look forward to watching Reese and Tevi play at the next level and do what they love. We definitely have big shoes to fill, but I am confident in our underclassmen for the next season.” by Michelle Nelson, 11. Photo by Corban Collins, 10.
