Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was by Pastor Nick Van Dam titled “Having a God Festival” from Matthew 21:1-11. Join us Easter Sunday at 8 a.m. for breakfast then 9 a.m. worship at the Rockville United Methodist Church, no sunrise service.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held Tuesday 7 p.m. in Tom and Beverly Pelkey home. All the regulars were there, nice to see all are well.

Mt. Zion Club will meet in the Marge Zink Home April 19 for an afternoon meeting at 1 p.m.

Happy Birthday to Tommy Gragg and Margie Siegismund.

We are thankful for the rain in the Mt. Zion Area. The fishermen who wanted more rain are happy too ; nice to see the fresh water in the ponds, creeks and rivers.

At the Robin Siegismund farm Robin and Belle are waiting for the next batch of kids; Belle is anticipating a slight problem with people coming by saying “aren’t they cute?” Belle is still cute and has a new game shopping. She brought Robin a boot, an old shoe, screwdriver and the alumina cans they recycle.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home were Eric Peterson and Nora they enjoyed eating out, Dixie was able to go to church.

Several from the area attended the VFW Post 11242 and auxiliary meeting Thursday evening.

Bob and Sheri Suster visited Forrest and Kathy Albin recently; the ladies worked on quilt project.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey and Marge Zink enjoyed touring the back roads of St. Clair County last week. All was new for Tom and Beverly, they only been in St Clair County for 10 years; Marge has been here all her life never been down some of the back roads that they traveled, and they enjoyed lunch out.

John Snethen took a Oats Bus full to Jefferson City on Tuesday to help lobby for the transportation bill, those going were Julia Snethen, LouAnn Taylor, Linda and Charlie Roush, Linda Licher, Kellie Deatherage, Gary Carpenter,  Carolena and Troy Andersen, they were to meet with Warren Love but he was running late and only got a picture with him then they went to Mike Parsons office and Julia had to make a pit stop but was lucky she hijacked Mike Parsons in the hallway any got to speak with him about Oats.

Sunday John and Julia attended Clinton Chapter #73 Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Clinton, then all went to Golden Corral for lunch.
