Morning Services was by Rockville United Methodist Church was by Pastor Larry Sorrells entitled “The Importance of a Father” from Luke 11: 11-13; the women served the men a delicious breakfast for Father Day; you are always welcome to join us at 9 am each Sunday morning for worship.

Mt. Zion Home Bible Study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home held at 7 p.m. each Tuesday evening to study the Bible, there were 11 present, there is always room for one or two more.

Mt. Zion Club will meet June 19, for annual picnic at the Appleton City Lake lunch at noon.

Mt. Zion area had a few days with no rain the water is lower in the fields and pasture but some roads are still closed. Farmers are baling hay the corn is looking better thanks to the sunshine gardens are producing, flowers are blooming, and we are blessed.

Visitors in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home have been daughter, Shirley, and husband, Jeff, from New Hampshire. Sunday, Tom, Beverly, Shirley and Jeff visited Gregg and Marsha Pelkey in Springfield, Tom had a happy Father Day.

Howard and Dixie Peterson and Sherry Peterson enjoyed Sunday dinner in the Marge Zink, Stacy and Mike Griffith home Sunday celebrating Dixie and Stacy birthday and Father’s Day.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm Belle is having problems with the baby guineas they are getting out of their pen. Belle enjoys her walks with Robin even blind Betty cow walks along. Belle knows she is just hoping for some feed; like Belle is hoping for a treat.

The Tri-County Quilt Club met June 10, for regular meeting at the Rockville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Eighteen ladies enjoyed the evening of quilt talk with Beverly Sullians giving a very interesting program on thimbles. Show and Tell were by Jenna Breckenridge, Mary McLeod, Madline Woodfin, and Pam Walker. Next meeting will be July 1, at 6 p.m. for a potluck and UFO night call Marge for more information.

Rockville Hand Quilters are working on one of the largest quilts they have ever quilted.
