Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, spent Tuesday, May 22, in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman. They all went to the cemetery to decorate at Brush Creek near Black Jack, El Dorado Springs City Cemetery and the Mount Vernon Cemetery near Walker. They all ate dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, May 27. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Learn to Discern” was taken from 1 John 4:1-6.

The Harwood and Schell City areas, from what I was told, had received anywhere from two to four inches of rain early Friday morning, May 25 to Saturday, May 26. They said there was a lot of wind and thunder and lightening with it, and some hail.

Dinner guests in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman Sunday, May 27, was a friend, Rosie Taylor, of El Dorado Springs.

Joan Trude, of Sheldon, passed away Monday morning, May 21. Joan grew up in Harwood. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruby Brown. Funeral service was held at Ferry Funeral Home at Nevada Thursday, May 21.

Madalyn and Chris Crocker, of Harwood, had their grandsons, Caden and Caleb Crocker of Schell City. They had them from Saturday, May 26, thru Monday, May 28.

Madalyn Crocker wanted me to put in my news that the Fourth of July community celebration will be held Saturday, June 30, starting at 6:30 p.m., the meat will be furnished. Those attending can bring a side dish. There will be fireworks at dark. I will have more about this in my new at a late date.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the birthday dinner at the Senior Center at El Dorado Springs, Thursday, May 24. It is held the fourth Thursday of every month for those with birthdays that month.
