Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home Tuesday evening at 7 pm with nine present to study the Bible.

Folks in the Mt. Zion area have been busy harvesting corn and mowing lawns and enjoying the cooler weather.

Mt. Zion Club met Sept. 19, for their regular meeting at the Marge Zink home with 11 ladies present. Wilma gave the devotion, Secretary Julia called roll by asking ladies their favorite flower. Chrysanthemums was the favorite; business was conducted a donation was made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

One member told of the wonderful Alaska Cruise their family enjoyed bringing back fat quarters for club members from a quilt shop in Skagway, AK. Delicious treats were enjoyed before enjoying bingo; next meeting Oct. 17, 1 p.m. at Marge Zink home.

We wish Sheri Suster a speedy recovery after having shoulder surgery on Wednesday Sept. 19.

Bonnie Heiserman, Margie and Mabel Siegismund represented the Rockville United Methodist Church at the Rich Hill Methodist Church Women Luncheon Sept 18. The ladies enjoyed a delicious lunch, a program prepared by the Rich Hill Methodist Ladies.

Marge Zink and Dixie Peterson enjoyed Bunco Tuesday at the St Clair County Library Lowry City Branch for a fun afternoon’ join us the third Tuesday at 1 p.m. for Bunco.

Stacy Griffith visited Howard and Dixie Peterson recently.

Dixie and Howard Peterson visited Marge Zink, Stacy and Mike Griffith home Saturday.

Tom Pelkey has been mowing grass and Beverly is about out of a job feeding the humming birds just a few left.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm not much going on Robin and Belle are enjoying the cooler weather, the apple tree has apples to harvest.

John and Julia Snethen had a busy week John run his bus route and mowed the yard and Julia has made a trip to Appleton City, Club, Osceola and Clinton.
