The Mt. Zion area welcomes the cooler weather. Gardens are still producing.
Dixie Peterson and Marge Zink decided they would go north looking for cooler weather. They made it to Hannibal. They drove through miles of corn fields and a few soybeans. Marge asks Dixie to stop so she could “snitch” a corn ear as she thought she would starve before they found a town, but Dixie didn’t. Finally they came out of the fields in Brunswick. Was worth the wait as they ate in the “neatest” Deli & Ice cream Shop and the town had a quilt shop down the street from the deli. We were informed we needed to go further north like Alaska. We had a great time. And as Missouri weather goes, wait a day and the weather will change and it did.
