Morning message at the Rockville United Church by Pastor Souza was entitled “What keeps you from praying” from Luke 18: 1-8.
Mt. Zion Home Bible study met in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home with nine in attendance. Everyone is welcome to join us at 7 p.m. each Tuesday.
Mt. Zion Club met Wednesday in the home of Beverly Pelkey for a regular meeting, time was spent helping the hostess washing windows and tacking lap robes. At noon, a delicious carry-in meal was enjoyed by 11 members and five men. We welcome Linda Turner as a new member; roll call was a useful antique. Devotion was by Charlene Crayton; next meeting will be Nov. 20 at the home of Marge Zink.
June Marshall, Doris Beard and Peggy Baldwin attended the Arlene Frasier Van Winkle Scholarship Fund Raiser in Appleton City Saturday night; a good time was had, the food was delicious, visiting was great and June did win a prize.
Howard and Dixie Peterson attended funeral services for Dixie’s cousin, Doris Park, at Hill Funeral Home in Appleton City, interment at Kidd’s Chapel Cemetery. The Peterson’s helped three year old Tucker Crawford celebrate his birthday at the Deer Camp Saturday night.
We wish Kent Crawford a speedy recovery from his recent foot surgery.
Those enjoying family dinner at the home of Marge and Stanley Zink on Sunday were Sheri Peterson, Stacy Griffith, Howard and Dixie Peterson, Betty and Larry Teel, and Tom and Beverly Pelkey.
John and Julia Snethen haven’t been doing much. Julia did attend the Mt. Zion Club but after she returned home she got sick again so she has learned to stay home until after her surgery.
