Rozella Gammon attended Red Hats Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Buzz’s Restaurant in Nevada. Neva Mays was the hostess.

Connie Locke visited Mary Ellen Maus at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada Wednesday, Oct. 16. She visited her parents, Ben and Gloria Locke.

Those having dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen after church Sunday, Oct. 20 were Pastor Connie Locke, Jewell and Helen Ellerman Ruth Ijams and Gary Joe and Gayle Dunn.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and Connie Locke had dinner at Dave’s Diner Tuesday, Oct. 15. Jewell and Helen got their flu shots and Jewell went to the eye doctor.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 20. Brother Cliff Bennett’s sermon, “Do You Believe In The Power of Prayer” taken from Acts 16:16-40

Church service was held at the Schell City United Methodist Church Sunday, Oct. 20. Pastor Connie Locke’s sermon, “Are You Persistent?” was taken from Luke 18:1-8. Sunday School was held before church. Pastor Locke led the lesson “Blessing For Ishmael and Isaac” was taken from Genesis 21:13-14, 17-21 and Genesis 26:2-5, 12-13.

Pastor Connie Locke and Jewell and Helen Ellerman from the Schell City United Methodist Church and Lawrence Cripps from the Horton and Metz United Methodist Churches attended the service celebrating the appointment of Mark Statler, superintendent of the Southwest District with Bishop Robert Schmase presiding at Saint James United Methodist Church in Joplin Sunday afternoon, Oct. 20.
