Lifetime El Dorado Springs resident Chris Roe, RN recently accepted the position of Utilization Review and Quality Assurance nurse at Cedar County Memorial Hospital. Chris has worked a total of fifteen years at our hospital but is returning after a bit of time away working with hospice. In her new role she will provide documentation and requested information to 3rd party payors during pre-authorizations to assure payment request criteria meets regulatory standards for reimbursement.
Chris graduated from Fort Scott Community College as an RN in 2007 — and has been married to Scott Roe for thirty-six years. Together they have one son, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. Her interests include watching any and all sports that her grandchildren play. She attends The Hill Church in El Dorado Springs. When I asked Chris about her years in nursing she commented, “I have always had a desire to care for the people of this community and a have a special place in my heart for my geriatric friends.” Anyone that knows Chris knows her as a sincerely compassionate and caring individual – who just happens to be a fabulous nurse.
