In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 67 requests for assistance this past week, Sept.18-24. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 2, Animal Control 9, Assist Other Agencies 10, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 6, All Other Requests for Assistance 40, Summons 4.

Anyone interested in adopting  animals from the City Pound should contact Officer Richards, animal control officer at 876-2313.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On September 18, 2023, officers responded to a delayed report of larceny from 135 West Spring Street, Community Center.  The investigation revealed the theft of shoes. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 18, 2023, officers responded to 700 East 54 Highway, Family Dollar, concerning trespassing. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Megan R. Rigg, 33, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing First Degree. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On September 19, 2023, officers arrest Steven S. Nading, 53, of El Dorado Springs, for a Nevada Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appearance on the original charge of Nuisance, with a $150.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On September 19, 2023, officers responded to 700 South Park concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a grey car cover.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On September 20, 2023, officers responded 218 West Marshall concerning a structure fire.  The El Dorado Springs Fire Department responded and conduct fire suppression operations. The investigation of the scene revealed evidence of Arson.  A report taken and the investigation continues.
