In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Jan 31 – Officers responded to 615 North Main concerning a reported theft of utility service. .

Feb 1 – Arrest: John Jacob Cox, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging him with failed to appear to answer to trespassing with a $729.50 cash bond.   He was transferred to the Cedar County jail pending bond and a court appearance.

Feb 2 – Arrest: Amanda M. Bell, 24, of El Dorado Springs, for three Vernon County warrants for probation violation on the original charges of burglary,possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with no bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County jail pending a court appearance.

Feb 3 – Arrest: Chelsea S. Duncan, 24, of El Dorado Springs, for an active El Dorado Springs Municipal warrant, charging her with failure to appear on the original charge of peace disturbance with a $517.50 bond. She was released on her own recognizance pending a court appearance.

Feb 3 – Officers responded to 200 McCrary Circle, Apt 39, concerning a reported peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Scott R Greathouse, 19, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with peace disturbance. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

Feb 3, -Arrest: Brandon C. Daniels, 35, of El Dorado Springs, for Bates County Sheriff on the probable cause of Second Degree assault, armed criminal action and felon in possession of a firearm. He was released to Bates County Sheriff’s deputies.

Feb 4 – Officers responded to 406 South Ohio  concerning a burglary in progress. The investigation resulted in the arrests of Carissa R. Murr, 65, of Overland Park, KS, and Michael R. McCormick, 58, of Kansas City, MO, for the probable cause of burglary, property damage and trespassing. Also they were reported missing from residential care settings.  Officers completed probable cause statements for these charges.  Murr and McCormick were released to their guardians pending charges.

Feb 4 – Officers responded to 312 West  54 Hiwy, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny. A report taken and the investigation continues.
