In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

On May 21, 2018, officers responded to 805 South Jackson Street concerning a reported larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of eight 15 foot pieces of brown roof tin.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 21, 2018, officers responded to the 500 block of West Fields Street, Lucien Carter Ball Park, concerning a reported Violation of an Order of Protection. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Sheri L. Proctor, 63, of El Dorado Springs, charging her with Violations of an adult Ex-Parte Order of Protection and a Child Protection Order. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 22, 2018, officers responded to the 1100 block of South Forrest Street concerning a reported suspicious vehicle. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Clifford W Short, 55, of El Dorado Springs for a Polk County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of No Seatbelt, with a $50.00 cash bond.  He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 22, 2018, officers responded to 222 West Hickory Street concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrests of  Chelsea D. Wegner, 25, and Korey L. Wegner, 31, of El Dorado Springs, charging them with  Peace Disturbance by Fighting. They were released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 23, 2018, officers arrested Kristena D. Bailey, 39, of Gladstone, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure To Appear to answer to No License Plate, with a $75.50 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On March 23, 2018, officers arrested Kara G. Miles, 30, of Nevada, for a Cedar County Probation Violation Warrant, on the original charges of 4 counts of Forgery and no bond, a Parole Violation Warrant, on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance with no bond, a Henry County Warrant, charging her with Possession of a Controlled Substance with a $5000.00 cash bond, and El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear Per court order with a bond of $562.50. She was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearances.

On May 23, 2018, officers responded to 801 East Gentry Street concerning a reported peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jessica D. Beard, 26, of El Dorado Springs, for a Barton County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Traffic Offense, with a bond of $107.00.  She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 24, 2018, officers arrested Leslie C. Houts, 48, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrants charging him with Failure to Appear with a $251.50 bond, and a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possession of Marijuana with a $500.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearances.

On May 24, 2018, officers responded to a report of an assault in process involving a baseball bat and a vehicle.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Victor E. Stone, 50, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Second Degree Assault,  First Degree Burglary, Driving While Revoked, Driving While Intoxicated, and Armed Criminal Action. Officers were directed to complete a probable cause statement charging Stone with Driving While Intoxicate by the Cedar County Prosecuting Attorney. Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging Stone with a Class B Felony of Driving While Intoxicate with a $10,000.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance. Additional charges are expected in this case.

On May 24, 2018, officers arrested Gerald R. Wilson, 48, of Nevada, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Possession of Methamphetamine with a $7,500. 00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 24, 2018, officers arrested Ecko M. Wilson, 34, of Nevada for a Vernon County Warrant, charging her with Possession of Methamphetamine with a $7,500.00 bond. She was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 24, 2018 officers responded to the 500 block of West Fields Street, Lucien Carter Ball Park, concerning a reported Violation of an Order of Protection. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Vincent R. Mansell, 37, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with a Violation of an Order of Protection. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On May 25, 2018, officers arrested Joseph A. Fritts, 24, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Obstruction, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. Fritts also had a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding and No Seat Belt with a $136.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending court appearances.

On May 26, 2018, officers responded to 216 West Hickory concerning a reported domestic assault.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On May 26, 2018, officers arrested Lauren G. Thornton, 26, of Jerico Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear per Court Order, on the original charge of Dog Regulation, No Insurance, Wrong Plates, with a $427.50 bond. She received summonses for obstruction, possession of drug paraphernalia, and released on her own recognizance pending a court appearance.
