The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 117 requests for assistance this past week, Dec. 30 – Jan. 5. The requests were as follows:

On January 6, 2020, an officer responded to 114 West Joe Davis concerning a reported larceny. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 7, 2020, an officer responded to 510 East Gentry concerning a report of a burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a Skil Saw and electrical wiring tool kit. A report taken and the investigation continues. 

On January 7, 2020, an officer responded to 216 West Hickory concerning a reported trespassing and property damage. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues. 

On January 7, 2019, an officer arrested John Cox, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging him with 4th Degree Assault on Law Enforcement, Possession of Marijuana, and Resisting Arrest with no bond and Two Cedar County Warrants charging him with Resisting Arrest for a Felony with no bond, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of Firearm with no bond. He was transported to the Vernon County Jail. 

On January 9, 2020, an officer responded to 1109 South Forrest concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of an ax, two paint guns, an old double barrel shotgun, an old single barrel shotgun, ammunition, compound bow, wood plugs, green knife grinder, 2”X 72” long sanding belt. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 10, 2020, an officer responded to 305 West Hightower concerning a reported theft. The investigation revealed the theft of prescription medication. A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues. 

On January 10, 2020, an officer responded to 904 South Allison concerning a reported burglary from a storage unit. The investigation revealed the theft of a blue tooth hoverboard, two subwoofers, three Poulan Chainsaws, green in color, several totes, several Germany Army helmets, foreign coins, several porcelain decorative frogs, a jeweler box, necklaces, and a class ring. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On January 11, 2020, an officer responded to 1401 South Park, Cedar County Memorial Hospital, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Shelby M. Wilson, 22, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of stealing. She was released on summons pending a court appearance. 

On January 12, 2020, an officer responded to 407 East Twyman concerning a reported burglary. A report taken and the investigation continues. 

On December 30, 2019, officer responded to 220 West US 54 Highway, Fugate Motors, concerning a motor vehicle theft. The investigation revealed the theft of a white, 2000 Ford F-550, bucket utility truck. A report taken and the investigation continues. 

On December 30, 2019, officer responded to 315 East Fields concerning a reported disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Eric M. Tompkins, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Larceny with a $642.00 bond and a Cedar County Warrant with no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending court appearance. 

On December 30, 2019, officer responded to 219 West Joe Davis concerning a reported assault. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On December 31, 2019, officers responded to the C & H Motel concerning a reported Arson. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Cheryl E. Dockery, 60, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of knowingly burning. Officer completed a probable cause statement for the charge. Officer received a Cedar County Warrant for Evaluation and Treatment.  

On December 31, 2019, officers responded to 205 West Poplar Street concerning a reported vehicle theft. The investigation revealed the theft of a red 1999 Nissan Frontier pick-up truck. A report taken and the investigation continues. 

On December 31, 2019, Officer arrested Chadd A. Ellison, 21, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summons pending a court appearance. 

On December 31, 2019 Officer arrested Emily A. Middleton, 21, of El Dorado Springs, on a Vernon County Capias Warrant, charging her with Felony Dangerous Drugs with no bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance. 

On December 31, 2019, officer arrested David Tanner Smith, 23, of El Dorado Springs, for a Probation and Parole Warrant with no bond, an El Dorado Springs Municipal Court Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear per Court Order with a $979.15 bond, and a Nevada Municipal Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear with a $1021.60 bond. He was transferred to the Vernon County Jail. 

On January 1, 2020, officer responded to 1208 South Main concerning a reported shoplifting. The investigation resulted in the theft of a box of mascara. A suspect was identified, a report taken and the investigation continues. 

On January 2, 2020, officer arrested Harold K. Williams, 46, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Trespassing and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with an $854.00 bond. He was released on recognizance pending a court appearance. 

On January 5, 2020, officer responded to a reported Larceny from 701 South Grand Street. The investigation revealed the theft of a large television, a couple of microphones, and HDMI cable. A report taken and the investigation continues. 

On January 5, 2019, officer responded to 500 East Fields concerning a reported assault. The investigation resulted in a summons issued to Kenneth W. Johnson Jr. 41, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of 4th Degree Assault.
