Missouri native and author Jackie Collins Cargill says that writing has always been her passion. When her husband, Irvin, who always wanted her to publish a book because he thought her stories and poems were amazing, passed away in 2018. She had too much time on her hands so she finally wrote the book. About a year later, in 2019, she submitted it to a publisher in New York City and it was accepted. It was supposed to be out in September but was delayed by Covid-19.

Jackie says, “It was not written about anyone in particular although I usually write in the first person. It is only about someone if their name is in it.”

“The book is about many experiences of many people. It is about life, love, happiness and heartache.”

Her book, “Heart of the Ozarks” is available for purchase. In person – $15.95 a copy; mail – $24.00 a copy. You can contact her through text at 417-276-1633 or message – 417/276-3716. Please leave your name and phone number and she will get back with you.
