GIRLS SCOUTS PICK UP PICNIC TRASH 2 CC FRONT PAGE

GIRL SCOUTS PICK UP PICNIC TRASH – Members of Girl Scout Service Unit 712 and their families have performed a quiet service for their community for the past four years while earning some funds for their troops. This year the City paid them $500 for picking up trash on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Park and carnival areas. You can look at the before photo and see that they had a big job which they performed about daylight each morning. They picked up approximately five large bags full each day which was a large improvement from previous years. The girls plan to use the money earned for Girl Scout events, supplies and programs throughout the year. They are (from left):  Saischa Bishop, Samantha Cox, Brittany Schweitzer, Maryea Garrison, Mattison Garrison, Myka Barger and Jaeden Marshall.
