Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.
Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications
We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Textcaster available!

Arrests and Reports
Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made arrests and took multiple reports during the week of June 10th through June 16th, 2025.
June 10th – Warrant Arrest (Dangerous Drugs) – On June 12th, a St. Clair County Deputy arrested Brice Edmunds on multiple El Dorado Police Department Failure to Appear Warrants. The warrants included charges of Assault, Animal at Large and Vicious Animals. Brice was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond was set at $251 cash only.
June 12th – Stealing in Collins – On June 12th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to SE 570 Road in Collins, in reference to stolen property. Upon arrival, the deputy met with the property owner who stated that he had multiple items stolen from his barn, in the previous couple weeks. The items were listed as a John Deere grease gun and a 110-110 feet long extension electrical cord, and the estimated value of the items was totaled at $145. This investigation is ongoing.
June 14th – Misdemeanor Arrest (Domestic Assault) – On June 14th, St. Clair County Deputies responded to SE 777 Private Road in Collins, in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy met with the reporting party, who stated that a male suspect had assaulted multiple individuals on the property. During the investigation, the primary aggressor was determined, and Jay Quinn was arrested for Domestic Assault – 3rd Degree, and was transported to the St. Clair County Jail to be booked and released pending formal charges.
June 16th – Warrant Arrest (Failure to Appear) – On June 16th, a St. Clair County Deputy responded to the Port Gas Station in Osceola, in reference to a subject with multiple active warrants. Upon arrival, the deputy located the subject, and arrested Sarah Webb on multiple Failure to Appear St. Clair County Warrants, and one Failure to Appear Jackson County Warrant. The original charges on the St. Clair County Warrants were for Exceeding the Posted Speed Limit by 11-15 mph, and Driver/Front Seat Passenger Fail to Wear Properly Adjusted Safety. The Jackson County Warrant had an original charge of Armed Vehicle Hijacking. Sarah was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and the bond for all warrants was totaled at $252 cash only, and $5,000 cash or surety.
