George Ratje jailed on controlled substance possession charge

A Butler man was taken into custody Aug. 24 on a warrant alleging possession of a controlled substance.
George Ratje, 34, was booked into the Cedar County Jail at 3 p.m. Records show Ratje is charged with possession of a controlled substance. The alleged offense date is listed as Aug. 24, 2026.
Bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Earlier Cedar County Jail records reviewed for this report show Ratje was also booked March 10, 2026, on a separate charge of possession of a controlled substance. That charge is not repeated as part of the current Aug. 24 case.
As of press time, the individual was still being held at the Cedar County Jail.
All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Brandon Joseph Quigg held on $100,000 cash-only bond on assault charges

Brandon Joseph Quigg, 36, of Butler, was booked into the Cedar County Jail on Aug. 24 on three felony assault charges, including two counts involving a special victim.
According to jail records, Quigg was booked at 2:35 p.m. by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office.
Quigg is being held on warrants for second-degree assault of a special victim, second-degree domestic assault and a second count of second-degree assault of a special victim.
One of the special-victim assault warrants lists the Barton County Sheriff’s Office as the arresting agency, while the domestic assault and second special-victim assault warrants list the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office.
All three charges list an offense and arrest date of Aug. 24, 2026.
Jail records list a $100,000 cash-only bond. Quigg remained in custody as of press time.
The charges are allegations. Quigg is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Stockton Man held on court-ordered dwi matter

A Stockton man was booked into the Cedar County Jail Monday, Aug. 24, on a court-ordered hold related to a prior driving while intoxicated case.
Kenneth Jarrett, 60, of Stockton, was booked at 9:03 a.m. by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office.
According to jail records, Jarrett is being held on a charge listed as DWI. The jail record lists the status as “probation shock.” The underlying offense date is listed as Feb. 6, 2026.
No bond has been set. Jail records classify Jarrett as being held on a court-ordered hold and list a scheduled release date of Aug. 26.
As of press time, Jarrett remained in the Cedar County Jail.
