Mt. Zion Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, June 4, in the home of Harold and Betty Rosbrugh, 430 N. 775 Rd., Rockville. Anyone interested in activities or upkeep pertaining to the cemetery are cordially invited to attend.

Lavena Marie Crooks, 87, was a prairie girl from Deora, CO, where her parents, Arthur and Reta Dockum, homesteaded and ranched. Lavena passed away peacefully on May 15, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. Services were held Saturday, May 20, in the Church of God (Holiness), 6801 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS, 66204.
