May 16 – Melissa Collins, 33, Osceola, taken into custody on a class C felony charge of possessing a controlled substance. Charge stems from investigation the same day when a traffic stop was conducted on vehicle she was driving. During investigation a prescription pill bottle with residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located

Michael D. Hoffman, 61, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016. Mike was born on Feb. 2, 1955, in Manhattan, KS, the son of Glenn and Annabelle Hoffman. He started school in Zeandale, KS, then moved with his family to El Dorado Springs. Mike met the love of his life, Kathy Gibbs.
